Organic food and people. Conosci il tuo pasto at Biofach
10 febbraio 2014
From 12 to 16 of February the organic food world will meet in Nuremberg at Biofach, the international fair for organic products. As every year we will be there to promote Mediterranean quality organic food, certified restaurants and the Conosci il tuo pasto project. Biofach is at its XXV edition, this time for me the 17th. And after several years
it is still motivating to be there and have the chance to know about the global newest organic&eco trends in food and ho.re.ca. (as well as in textile and cosmetic sectors) and to meet and share stories
of foodmavericks from all over the globe.
I remember the first time I attended Biofach, where I had the chance to meet some of the pioneers of organic farming and to listen to their stories. I knew there, my life was going to change...
Piero and the fragrance of the vanilla from Vanui, Mauro of Colloredo di Monte Albano from Northern Italy (Friuli) and Lorenzo of Aurora winemakers in the Marche Region and their wines from certified organic grapes, Bruno and Gino of the cooperatives La Terra e il Cielo and Alce Nero in the Marche region, Lance of
Vintage Roots and the UK organic people, the passionate folks of Booja Booja (UK) and their delightful diary free ginger wine truffles, CTM Altromercato importing fair trade from the world and Remo of IMC who introduced me to the real
meaning of organic agriculture and to the "idea of Mediterranean". From that point our travel through agriculture, food and culture in the region has started.
After many years at Biofach you can still meet those people who "made organic" worldwide starting 30 years ago and of course many other "young" passionate producers..
This year our stand will represent the Mediterranean with organic producers from Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon and Turkey.
Under the concept of Conosci il tuo pasto we will organize together with
the organic producers at the fair daily products tastings. As the organic emmer and fava beans specialties of Az. Luzi in San Lorenzo in Campo, the extra virgin olive oils selection, the withlovehomemade jams and liquors of Amaltea of Senigallia (AN), the fair trade organic coffee and chocolate of CTM Altromercato.

The Franciacorta sparkling wines of Barone Pizzini (Lombardia region), the Perlugo sparkling wine from Verdicchio di Jesi grapes of Pievalta in the Marche region, the Tuscany wines of Cosimo Maria Masini.
An many others...
For those who will have the chance to pass by we are in Hall 4 stand 327 will be please to share food and information!
