Bioland Lebanon, organic from farm to fork
2 giugno 2014
When we arrived in Batroun at Bioland farm to have lunch with the owner Henri and his wife Rosy, our kids feeling like at home just “disappeared” in the orchard discovering plants and trees, having fun with the goats, running after the chicken and geese.I thought this was a very good sign! When they later hungry came back, we had a delicious Lebanese lunch at the open air restaurant. Not only baladi (traditional) but also organic (and of course accopanied by the innate Lebanese spirit of conviviality and hospitality!!) It was at that point that I realized that the slogan of Bioland “from farm to fork” truly represents the concept of this project. Starting from the organic farm where children can learn about agriculture, rurality, nature cycles, animals, breeding and traditional Lebanese food. Ending at the shop in Beirut (Sioufi district) where to buy organic Bioland products and form other Lebanese organic farmers and where to find also a food corner to taste the “plat du jour” (daily menu) or to order a sandwich to take away. Bioland is in the Conosci il tuo pasto Restaurants&Shops Guide where to find also the other organic certified shops in Beirut and around and to leave your reviews and comments!
