Quell' “Aura Gourmand”
22 ottobre 2013
All’Agricoltura. Ai Metodi di Coltivazione e di Allevamento. All’ Origine dei Prodotti.
That “Gourmand Aura”
Stachefs and cooking shows seems to be elected as marketing tools also by the agro food giants thanks to the “gourmand aura” they can add to the products apart from its qualitative characteristics.
On the other side nowadays consumers are quite difficult to be classified in their purchasing choices. A consumer can both choose to go to a fast foods as well as to trattorias, winebars, healthy shops as well as to starred and trendy restaurants. A consumer that in the same way moves through the “world food” by zapping TV celebrity shows performed by enigmatic, angry, surprising topchefs or by smiling “queen of the kitchen”
Two years ago Mc Donald’s presented for example the burgers Vivace and Allegro signed by Italian famous chef Gualtiero Marchesi (that in October 2011 held “The absolutely real news is that while ideating these two recipes I opened the doors of the “hamburger reign” to spinach and egg plants. This a is revolution. I am sure that they will meet the taste of the millions of youths that eat at Mc Donald’s. October 05, 2011. Il Sole 24ore)
A couple of weeks ago Mc Donald’s – that everyday serves approximately 69 million people in the world organized a one night event, a foodie and media evening in New York inviting three USA top chefs Aaron McCargo Jr., James Tahhan, Dale Taldeand and the USA McDonald’s in-house chef Jessica Foust to compete by creating exotic dishes with Mac igredients: chicken McNuggets , Mc Fry Gnocchi, Mc fries, Mc beef…
And as it often happens the gastronomic show also "wrapped in that gourmand aura" prevails without again talking about Agriculture, Farming and Breeding Methods, Origin of the products.
“For those who are writers it is useful to know how the Italian language comes from, as well as a cook should know the origin of the ingredients he is cooking” “L’ Italiano - Lezione Semiserie”, Beppe Severgnini* (Rizzoli).
